About the Club

Come sail with us!
The Indian Lake Sailing Club was founded in 1945 as a family oriented sailing and social club. Members come from all walks of life with skills ranging from novice sailor to champions. Anyone interested in sailing may apply. We currently operate an active “one design” racing program for 5 national racing classes.
The club facilities include 75 private docks, a heated, enclosed clubhouse with full kitchen. We also have a large shelter house, locker room with showers and restrooms. The tree shaded grounds have picnic tables, grills and lawn chairs. A sandy beach provides a play area for children. An electric hoist is provided for launching. Boats may be stored in club docks or trailered in our “dry sail” parking lot.The facilities are available for year ‘round use.
ILSC offers organized activities throughout the sailing season (April to October). These include competitive racing on Sunday afternoons, sailing classes, special dinners, potlucks and holiday activities. Our fleets host invitational regattas throughout the summer. Non-racers find the club ideal for day sailing and socializing. Of course there are also opportunities to crew for our racing skippers. Our Commodore’s Ball is held annually to close the social season and award the accomplishments of our racing members.
Members receive unlimited use of the club’s facilities and grounds, keys to the club, a newsletter and opportunity to rent a dock or dry-sail space. Dues and fees are kept at reasonable rates through our “Do it Yourself “ philosophy. Members are asked to help out with maintenance and improvement projects. Members are also asked to serve on various committees.
Please visit the club anytime to meet our members. There is usually someone around every weekend. Weekly races are held every Sunday afternoon at 1pm, weather permitting, of course.
