This versatile 18’ monohull dinghy features a mainsail, jib, and optional spinnaker, making it both fast and agile on the water while remaining easy to handle for two to three crew. The boat’s one-design class rules keep boats nearly identical regardless of age. Most of all, the Interlake is stable yet nimble, with responsive steering and a wide deck that’s comfortable for racing or a casual sail with family or a couple friends. The Interlake’s 6′3″ beam, retractable centerboard, and simple rig make for easy set up and trailering. On the water, the powerful yet easy to control sail plan will move you along in the lightest winds and exhilarate you in a breeze. The Interlake is more than just a boat, it is a family. Our Interlake fleet is made up of sailors with many years of experience, eager to assist and teach you important aspects of your new boat. From club races and regattas to steak dinners and parties, we are a big part of the sailing and social fabric of Indian Lake Yacht club.

Speaking of racing. There is no better way to learn and practice your new sailing skills, than getting out on the race course and there is no more active fleet than the Interlakes! Either crewing for a skipper or one of our members crewing on your boat, will introduce you to the excitement and fun of one-design racing. And if you catch the racing bug, the Interlake Sailing Class Associate (ISCA) hosts regattas throughout the mid west – most within a couple hours drive.
